Overview

INOVIA, short for “Innovation of View and Auditory”, is a Kedaireka-based project, building upon a smartphone-based VR initiative developed by Drg. Anti in 2014. The project is designed as an assistive tool to alleviate children's fear during dental treatments by leveraging immersive technology.

Problem Statement

The original VR Inovia project, developed in 2014, has become outdated in terms of modern VR technology and implementation. Updating this project is crucial to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in addressing children's anxiety during dental treatments, utilizing the latest advancements in VR technology.

Objectives

The goal is to redevelop the INOVIA project into a modern solution comprising:

1. A VR application compatible with contemporary VR headsets.
2. A web-based dashboard for managing patient data and tracking dental procedures conducted during treatments.

This updated approach benefits the end users—children undergoing dental care—by enhancing their experience, while also providing dental professionals with improved tools for patient management.

User Persona

VR Users
• Age Group: Children aged 5–10 years.
• Experience: No prior experience with VR devices.

Admin Dashboard Users
• Profession: Dentists aged 20+ years.
• Skillset: Proficient in using web browsers.

Success Metrics

The success of the INOVIA project will be measured through the following metrics:

Delivery Milestones
• July 2024: User testing begins with 50–60% progress.
• August 2024: Submission of the first Kedaireka report with 61–70% progress.
• November 2024: Final report submission with 100% progress.

VR Application
• Achieve 100 users by the end of 2024.
• Ensure 100% data synchronisation with the backend.

Web Dashboard
• Maintain 99% server uptime.
• Support up to 10 concurrent users (CCU).
• Ensure 100% data synchronisation with the backend.

KESUSASTRAAN, KEHANCURAN

The last Covid-19 pandemic fulfilled our helplessness as humans, while also renewing our perspective on the world.

No matter what we sensed, things were no longer the same. “KESUSASTRAAN, KEHANCURAN” was written during that crucial time and feels reflective if we read it now. The idea of destructiveness is a contextualized option to formulate the post-pandemic situation.

Martin highlights it through a cultural approach, with a treat in the form of a review of history and literary works. In the end, the world we live in is not okay.

Penerbit Velodrom presents it to readers with the intention of archiving the thoughts that mark the times.
